In Legacy of Thracks, you control one of the clan Heroes (Warrior, Mage, Engineer), or the 4th Shadow Hero. Beside your Hero, you can also move the 3 Lost Souls, but they are shared figures, so be careful where you leave them! As a clan player...
As a clan player, you have limited time to reach Dimara; otherwise, the Shadow destroys the world (and he will do everything to prevent you from reaching it). As his power increases with time, sometimes you need to work together with the other clan Heroes and make big sacrifices. But don't forget: only one Hero can enter the legendary Dimara! During the game, use various resources to move your Hero and the Souls and perform different actions with them (like capture a Castle, build roads, fight with other Heroes, complete secret missions...etc.)

2: Mode
- Basic mode (symmetric, competitive)
- Advanced mode (asymmetric, unique cards and skills competitive with semi-coop elements)
3: Time
- Rush: max 6 days (90-120 min) and 5 magical barriers to complete
- Normal: max 9 days (120-180 min) and 7 magical barriers to complete
- Epic: max 12 days (240-300 min) and 10 magical barriers to complete
4: Difficulty
- Easy: for beginners
- Normal: for everyone who wants a healthy challenge
- Hardcore: for those who love really tough situations
- Legendary: not impossible, but almost. You will need everything that you have to even have a small chance. You will sweat for sure;)

Goal of the game
Your goal is to enter the legendary city Dimara first. The game ends when somebody enters Dimara or the limited time is over. If you are alone in Dimara you win. If multiple Heroes could enter Dimara (in the same turn) or nobody could enter it VPs are calculated among them.
CLAN HERO (Engineer, Warrior, Mage)
As a clan Hero to reach Dimara you must complate as many Magical barriers as you can. There are 3 ways to complete a Magical barrier:
1. Complete your secret quest:
Quests can be bought in the Temple. To complete a quest, you need to fulfill a condition, and also have the required crystals. But only the shared figures, the Lost Souls, can take the crystals from the mine.
2. Collect Relics:
If you have 5 Relics, you can complete a Magical barrier marked with a Relic sign. Only a limited amount of barriers can be completed this way.
3. Increase your Glory:
If your glory reaches certain points (4-7-10), you can complete any Magical barriers.
You can increase your glory in 2 ways: if you win in a battle, or if you capture a Fortress.
SHADOW HERO
Your goal is to prevent the other Heroes from reaching Dimara. If you succeed, you will get many VPs. Instead of completing Magical barriers, you have very different actions and skills to weaken and slow down all clan Heroes. Your are the most powerful Hero, so use them well! But be careful, because the clan Heroes can use the sacrificial altar to weaken you (but it is also good for you if they use it frequently, because in this case, they will not have enough resources to go to Dimara;)
Skill tree - Hero development
As a clan Hero, if you perform a defined action type you receive 1 skill point. You can use it to improve and strengthen your Hero. There are two paths, and when you collect enough skill points, you will receive a unique and powerful ability. Choose carefully which abilities you want to develop first; it will affect your strategy.
Battle system overview
Battle is not essential, but sometimes it can be useful and necessary. It also depends on the Clan: the Warrior and the Shadow favor the battle, but not so much the Engineer (but he can also surprise you). If you step on a field ...
If you step on a field where another Hero is standing, a battle begins. The Hero who has more combat power (CP) wins. The winner can steal resources from the defeated player and his glory is also increased (which is one way of completing the Magical barriers which are essential to be able to get closer to Dimara). The defeated Hero beside the lost item also loses one hit point (HP), and is moved away by the winner Hero. Every Hero has a basic combat power, and has a special field bonus too. To further increase your basic CP, you can use battle cards (they can be bought in the Armory). Every battle card has a value of 0-3, and also a clan modifier. But you can use maximum your Hero's actual HP/2 battle cards. Every battle card has a blessing too, which is a bonus and you receive it, no matter whether you won or lost in the battle. So sometimes it is worth initiating a battle even if you will probably lose, because of the blessing.
The final CP comes from:
- every Hero has a different basic combat power
- every captured Fortress is 1 CP
- every Hero has a different field modifier (bonus if the battle is held on that type of field)
- sum of CPs of the selected battle cards + clan modifier of the card (if there are any)
- there are some clan actions cards which can also increase CP (like the Mage's Fireball card which converts mana to CP)
Field overview
When you step on a field with your Hero or with a Lost Soul, you may perform an action on it. Some actions can be performed by the Hero and also the Lost Souls, but some actions only by the Hero, or the Lost Soul. Actions can be free, or can have a gold, or hit point cost. There are 13 different fields on the map and the 4 Capitals.
Temple
You can buy quest cards here. One for 2 gold, or for 3 gold, receive 2 cards and keep one. Can be used by Heroes and Lost Souls too.
Portal
Move to another portal. Can be used by Heroes and Lost souls too, but using with a Hero, it costs 1 hit point.
Village
For 2 gold, you can capture the Village. If you do, build a road. Roads decrease your Hero's moving cost and generate gold from other players. Can be used by Heroes and Lost Souls too.
Armory
You can buy battle cards here, once per turn. Can be used by Heroes and Lost Souls too, for 3 gold, or with a Hero instead of the gold you can pay with hit points too.
Fountain
You can heal your Hero here, so will be recovered to full HP.
Frozen Island
If you step here with your Hero, receive 1 gold and 1 action card. While a Hero is standing here, Lost Souls can't move.
Fortress
Only with your Hero you can capture it by paying 1 hit point. If you do, increase your glory by 1.
Source of Life
Your Hero receives 1 HP. You can buy a bonus card here.
Castle
You can capture it with your Hero by paying 2 hit points. With every Castle you own, increase your gold income by 2.
Tunnel
An alternative way of capturing a Castle. You can use it with your Hero, or with Lost Souls too. It costs 1 gold.
Relic field
You can collect relics here only with your Hero.
Mine
You can collect various crystals here, only with the Lost Souls. There are 4 colors (green, yellow, red, purple) that define which Quests can be completed by them (and thus which Magical barriers).
Market
You can change your items (crystals and relics) at the market, and also sell your unused cards.
Captitals
Starting point of the Heroes. You collect items (crytals and relics) here. Your Hero recovers here fully, so will have max HP. You can come here from a Portal too. It can be attacked (siege)...

Humankind has forgotten in the last 1000 years… and now this may be their devastation. The Awakening has arrived earlier than the prophecy stated. The endless war between the three clans has weakened the people. In this uncertain situation, the Shadow, the real brutal enemy has arrived way earlier than they were supposed to. The world is on fire and humankind has gotten to the edge of total destruction.
Only the ancient Anduril can save the people if they can prove their worthiness. To prove that you are the last hero standing in your clan, you need to overcome as many Magical barriers within 9 days as you are able to, and also conquer castles, villages and fortresses, and build roads.
To complete the Magical barriers, you need to fulfill numerous secret missions, collect the ancient relics and increase your glory! To complete missions, you can use the Lost Souls to mine precious crystals. But be careful, the Lost Souls can be led by the other clans too! During your adventure, you can learn and improve special skills, to battle other heroes to increase your glory further.
Prove that you are the chosen one who is worthy to enter the ancient Dimara and gain the special powers which help you to defeat the dreaded Shadows and to save the world!
As a Shadow player: stop the clan Heroes from entering Dimara. Your power is increasing day by day and as the clan Heroes are becoming stronger, you are growing more powerful too.
Activate the Sources of Darkness and your special shadow abilities, use black magic and your Metamorph skill to copy clan Heroes!

Long ago, from the beginning of time, people lived in peace and happiness. There was no envy and no one was selfish at all. Everyone helped one another and they loved each other. Everything was shared, there was nothing that was mine or yours. Everyone existed as a part of a big family. Then everything started to change ...
People began to feel a strange sensation inside. The best scientists investigated the causes, but they found no exact explanation. Men and women became cold-hearted to their families or even left them from one moment to another. Scientists began initiating some tests on people. The rhythm of their heartbeat and breathing changed, their blood got a darker color. Something modified their genome significantly. Over the course of a few years, people's abilities and interests, mostly their interests, completely changed. The Hour of the Awakening had come. Within a short period of time, the three clans were created. Self-interest and the desire for power waged war between them…
Similar people unconsciously attracted each other, new yet unknown things occupied their minds, the differences between other clans became visible. To differ themselves from the others and to reflect to their identity and abilities, they picked describing names: Warriors, Engineers and Mages.
But the Awakening is not just about the clans. It has a purpose. There is a dark secret, and the formation of the clans and the war between them is just the beginning. When they had weakened each other greatly, the brutal enemy appeared: the Shadows. And they have only one goal: to eliminate the human race...
SHADOW
Shadows have only one goal: destroy humans. They are here from ancient times when they were created for war purposes. They have brutal strength and speed. Nobody can defeat them in an open battle, and they have no mercy at all. They have just woken up, but as time goes by, they become even stronger… They start their attacks from the north-east death territory - no living beings can stay there...
You will receive many victory points if you can prevent other Heroes from reaching Dimara in the given time. To achieve this, your power increases over time and you also has special abilities which can slow them.

WARRIOR
Leader: Hector
The Warriors are the devastating force themselves. They don’t ask, they simply take what they want. They are aggressive and cruel. They think they own everything they desire as their privilege of birth. Their skin is like steel, it can hardly be hurt. They are very proud and stubborn. War favors them. They live on the north volcanic territory in big stone houses.

MAGE
Mages are usually outside viewers of the world, but if need be, they can control and manipulate their environment. They are basically friendly, but they are not afraid to use their powers for a purpose. Through illusions, they scramble and shape their surroundings. They can become totally unrecognizable. Their hobby is to find and collect relics from ancient times. They live on the south-west mystic lake territory.
